Ins and Outs #1

Hey! I'm so sorry that I haven't updated in literally forever! I've been soo busy with school that it's not even funny. But I am back and very happy about it :)

Anyway, I'm starting a new and unoriginal series on my blog called "Ins and Outs". You've probably heard of it before, but I'm going to explain anyway. Basically, I write about whatever I think is currently in or out, based on my opinions. So here is the very first installment!

Ins:
-Field hockey! The season started this September and I love playing! Practice is daily and tiring, but it's so much fun!
-Modern Family/ The Middle. These 2 shows are like the highlights of my average school week. I literally look forward to Wednesday nights because they're on and they recently came back last week! I am beyond excited!!
-Mayday Parade. AKA, my favorite band ever! I was introduced to them this summer by a friend and I'm honestly in love with them. Their new song Girls is just perfect. I'm obsessed.
-Skateboarding. I learned how to skateboard this summer and I love it so much! I'm not a pro, but I'm pretty good so yay. I'm actually finally getting a Penny board for my birthday! I am soo excited :)
-BB cream. I use BB cream every single morning when I'm getting ready for school and I don't know what I would do without it.
-Hoodies. I love love love oversized, comfy hoodies. They're absolutely perfect for the fall weather and I literally wear one everyday. (as a jacket since it's cold in the mornings)

Outs:
-Homework. I honestly hate homework and unfortunately, I get homework literally everyday of school since the very first day. I know it's important to my education and everything, but I think it's boring and a waste of time. And I get too much of it, lol.
-Summer clothes. :'( This is so sad because I really don't want to accept the fact that summer's over. All my shorts and tank tops are literally waiting to be packed away for the fall and winter and it kind of depresses me because I'm in a post summer depression.
-Waking up at 5:45 am. I'm pretty sure this will never ever be in.

I'm really happy that I have more ins than outs! I'd love to hear what you're ins and outs are too! Stay tuned for more to come :)

Must Haves: Fall

So it's September already! I'm going back to school in just a couple of days, the days are getting shorter, the weather's getting colder, my hours of sleep are decreasing.

I'm one of those people that has a different style for every season and I'm going to share with you some of my favorite purchases for this fall!

So first is combat boots! I'm obsessed with these! I think they're so cute and perfect for the fall and winter! I know these will probably be my go to shoes for fall because they're neutral, so they look good with pretty much any outfit, and because they're so comfortable! The thing I love about combat boots is that they look good with any outfit and add a little bit of an edge.

And here is the famous Bethany Mota again, modeling my next must have for fall :) Beanies! I think beanies are so cute and a great accessory for any outfit! They're also really cute for if you're having a bad hair day and it gives off the "I look like I'm trying but I'm really not" impression. And you can get beanies pretty much anywhere! There's a ton of different styles, colors, and designs, which makes them so much more fun!

My third fall must have is of course jeans! I am one of those people who is obsessed with jeans and I honestly wear jeans pretty much everyday in fall. I feel like you can never go wrong with jeans and I think they're comfortable.. Haha, so here's a pair of skinny dark wash destroyed jeans from Hollister! I think these are my personal favorite because I have a weakness for dark wash jeans..

My last must have for today is converse! I've loved converse for like ever and they come in soo many colors, prints, and desgins, but I always find myself wanting black, white, or gray the most. There's also high top converse, which I love, but for this fall I only have the low ones like these in black and gray. I love these colors because they can go with any colors. These shoes are considered sneakers, but to me they're just shoes because they're so uncomfortable to run in. They're perfect for school and the awesome thing is that they're not seasonal!

So this was my first post of my new series, Must Haves! There will be more to come :) And all of these opinions are completely my own.

Bethany Mota inspired hair tutorial

 Beth's hair
Mine :)
So we all know much I love Bethany Mota and how her hair always looks ah-mazing! For my cousin's show I decided to do my hair like Beth and I love how it came out!

Things you will need :
-curling wand or iron
-hair tie
-bow
-comb

Ok, so my hair is naturally wavy so what I did was take a shower and let my hair air dry to the natural waves. Then I tied the front part of my hair back like it is in the picture and began curling 1 inch sections of my hair. I tied my hair back in the beginning because if you curl it before and then tie it back, the curls could get messed up and that would be bad. So I was wrapping my hair around the wand away from my face because that was the direction I wanted my curls to go in. So I just continued curling all the way around my head. Then I took the hair that was tied back and I curled that too. I clipped on a bow to cover up the hair tie and ta-da!

This is a really cute and easy hair style that's great for events where you need to be more on the dressy side and it's pretty fun to do! :)
